The Name
Ark — as in Noah's Ark. Stability through the storm. The idea that with the right preparation and foresight, you can weather what's coming.
Line — a line of business, a line of risk. In insurance, a line is what you write. More broadly, it's a thread of assurance — a boundary between exposure and resilience.
Together, Arkline is the infrastructure that holds when conditions turn.
Founding Team
Our founding team spans expertise in engineering, insurance, financial markets, and meteorology.
On the insurance side, that means direct experience within syndicates at Lloyd's of London — the world's oldest and largest specialty insurance market. On the weather side, forecasting and hazard science from the Met Office — the UK's national weather service and a global leader in climate prediction.
The team also brings quantitative risk analysis from capital markets and deep systems engineering experience across real-time data pipelines and machine learning.
Academic Roots
The team holds advanced degrees and research experience from Imperial College London and the University of Cambridge.
